Cakes Pies & Muffins

Do you want to make a homemade cake for a special occasion but are afraid it might not turn out just right. Or maybe you have been asked to bring a pie to a potluck or muffins to a breakfast meeting. I’ve got you covered with some amazing cake, pie and muffin recipes along with tips and tricks to make sure they turn out perfect every time.

If you’re not ready to commit to a layer cake, like my favorite strawberry cake, then try a sheet pan cake with a cream cheese filling. Or even better make some cupcakes. You could go simple with a chocolate cream cheese cupcake or fill a strawberry cupcake with strawberry puree and top it with cream cheese frosting. Add some nuts and carrots for a delicious carrot cake cupcake.

Some cakes don’t need frosting like a coffee cake with streusel and peaches or add some fruit and batter to a bundt pan for an amazing peach and blueberry coffee cake. Both would be great for brunch with your favorite quiche.

Have a breakfast meeting or brunch coming up, everyone loves a homemade muffin. Try the best blueberry muffin recipe with streusel, or you can never go wrong with banana muffins, these have chunks of banana throughout.

Pie might be the most versatile dessert. You can make it in a sheet pan when you're feeding a large gathering, try strawberry or chocolate pecan. Go with a classic banana cream pie or lemon chiffon pie.  Don’t forget about this rich chocolate pie. Or make it mini and try some apple or raspberry hand pies.

Whether you’re an experienced baker or just starting out, you’ll find easy to follow directions for some amazing desserts.
