Ingredients
2cupsPecan Halves
1teaspoonCinnamon
½teaspoonCardamon
½teaspoonCloves
½teaspoonBlack Pepper
1teaspoonOrange Zest
3tablespoonsOrange Juice
1teaspoonVanilla Extract
½cupBrown Sugar
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350º. Place pecans on a rimmed baking sheet and bake for 8-10 minutes, turning half way through.
In a small bowl combine orange zest with cinnamon, cardamon, cloves and pepper and set aside
Add orange juice, vanilla and brown sugar to a large skillet over medium heat. Bring to a boil and let it boil for a minute, whisk continuously.
Add pecans and coat completely with the sauce. Add the spice mixture then spread them out on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper in an even layer. Sprinkle with salt while still warm.
Barbara's Notes + Tips
Watch the nuts closely as they roast, they will burn quickly. Every oven is a little different so check them at 5 minutes.
Make sure you add the salt while they are still warm.
Store in an airtight container on the counter, fridge or freezer.
