This spicy fire crackers recipe turns a box of saltine crackers into a crunchy, ranch-seasoned snack with real kick. Saltines get coated in vegetable oil, dry ranch seasoning, dried dill, garlic powder, and red pepper flakes, then baked low and slow until crisp. No fresh herbs or hot sauce needed, no special shopping trip required. Most of the time is hands-off, just letting the crackers sit and soak up the seasoning before they go in the oven.

Barbara's Notes + Tips
No ziplock bag? A large bowl with a lid works just as well, just toss well so every cracker gets coated.
Shake the bag every 15 to 20 minutes while it rests so the seasoning doesn't settle in one spot.
Go lighter on the red pepper flakes for mild, or add cayenne pepper for more heat. Keeps well either way, room temperature for a week or frozen for a couple of months, no need to thaw first.
