Why you'll  ❤️  Steak Marsala

You can get by with using a cheaper cut of steak like a top sirloin bc the sauce is so flavorful.

Be prepared for a savory sauce made with sweet Marsala wine that compliments a steak beautifully.

– chicken broth – dried porcini mushrooms – olive oil – cremini mushrooms  – sirloin steak – shallot  – flour – garlic – fresh rosemary – sweet marsala – butter – parsley – lemon juice

Step 1

Enjoy bringing those dried porcini mushrooms back to life!

Step 2

Cook the fresh mushrooms. TIP: start with the lid on to get the moisture out and then remove the lid to brown them for lots of flavor.

Cook the steaks in the same skillet. (use all that flavor on the meat!) Remove to a plate.

Step 3

Add shallots, garlic and butter, then add flour and seasonings and the reconstituted mushrooms.

Step 4

Once softened add Marsala wine and chicken broth and let it thicken.

Step 5

Add back the browned mushrooms and pour over the cooked steaks.

Step 6

The magical flavor is worth every step in this meal. This takes about 40 minutes from start to finish.

RECIPE TIP
