Green Bean Casserole with Crispy Onions

– Fresh green beans – Fresh mushrooms – Sweet onion – Butter – Flour – White wine – Half and half  – Parmesan cheese – Worcestershire  – Panko breadcrumbs

Step 1

This recipe is for fresh green beans. Frozen will work in a pinch.  *Canned beans will not work.

Step 2

Blanch the beans in a pot of boiling water and then add them to a bowl of ice water. 

Step 3

Make the homemade mushroom sauce.

Step 4

Combine the mushroom sauce with the green beans.

Step 5

Fill your casserole dish with the creamy bean mixture. Sprinkle Panko and top Bake.

Step 6

Add crispy onions to the top and bake an additional 5 minutes.
