Crostini with goat cheese, apples and pomegranate are a wonderful appetizer for a cocktail party or just having friends over for drinks. Simple with a bit of a surprise

Ingredients
baguette(sliced into ½ inch pieces)
olive oil
salt and pepper
1clovegarlic
goat cheese
red chili pepper flakes
apple(fuji or granny smith, sliced very thin)
walnuts(chopped)
honey
pomegranate
Instructions
Preheat oven to broil.
Drizzle olive oil over baguette slices and salt and pepper. Place under the broiler for about one minute. Turn over and drizzle more oil and salt and pepper the other side. Broil for another minute until slightly brown. Remove from oven and rub garlic clove on the surface.
Slice apple and remove seeds from pomegranate.
When baguette slices have slightly cooled, spread each with goat cheese. Sprinkle with red pepper flakes and add a thin slice of apple. Drizzle honey over the top and sprinkle with walnuts and pomegranate. You need enough honey for the nuts and pomegranate to stick to the surface.
