FILLING – Crisp apple – Pear – Dark brown sugar – Cornstarch – Lemon zest – Cinnamon – Butter

APPLE CIDER CARAMEL – Apple cider – Dark brown sugar – Butter – Salt – Heavy cream

If the pastry gets soft while you're trying to handle it, place it back in the refrigerator to cool slightly.

A mandolin makes short work of slicing apples and pears for this dessert to help get uniform slices. 

Once you learn to make a galette crust, you can build both sweet and savory meals with them!
