Method 1 All you need is milk, skim, 2% or whole milk will work, plus 1 tablespoon of lemon juice for each cup of buttermilk you need.

Method 2 You will need 1 tablespoon of any type of vinegar.

Method 3 If you don’t always have milk on hand, then use a package of powdered buttermilk substitute in your pantry.
