    It’s funny how some old-fashioned dishes just don’t make sense until you think back to Grandma’s kitchen. The ingredients might seem strange today, but only grandma could explain why we used to eat these, and somehow, they always tasted like comfort. Maybe it was the love she stirred in or the way she stretched every bit of food to feed a crowd. Either way, these recipes are a trip down memory lane you’ll want to savor.

      It is uncanny how many of these dishes my Mom used to make, and that was far distant from her Grandmother. I still make and enjoy them myself but now have authentic recipes to go by. Thanks for this post!! I have always loved your recipes and style, but this was an especially interesting piece to me.
