    Antonia’s – Hillsborough, NC

HIllsborough has such a quaint downtown.  We were looking for a place to eat brunch on a Sunday afternoon and decided we would just try our luck without doing any advanced research.  Antonia’s looked like it would be good so we grabbed a table in the bar area.  It is as quaint as the town.  Everyone seemed to know each other and our friendly waitress made us feel right at home.  From our high top table we could see the food as it was being served and watch people inside and out on the patio.  One of the owners, Claudia was greeting people as they came in. We learned she is from Italy.  They had homemade croissants on the counter that looked wonderful.  They are only open for breakfast and dinner.  We are now trying to come up with reasons to go to Hillsborough for dinner.  It is Italian for dinner and the menu looks awesome.   We want to try the lemon pistachio cannoli.
