The Lazy Goat – Greenville SC

Outdoors at The Lazy goat - Greenville SC

In my quest to try all the locally owned restaurants in Greenville, we stopped by this place for a lazy lunch.  The patio overlooks the river where there were lots of pedestrians and kids running through the fountain to stay cool with the 97º temperatures.  Despite the heat, it was very pleasent in the shade on the patio.  Sometimes it’s hard to sit outside once the temperatures soar into the 90’s, but with all the trees and the river, Greenville managed to be very pleasant.

This restaurant has been around for a while and has gotten very good reviews.  If all of their food is as good as the Moroccan chicken wrap I had, it will be a keeper.  This wrap was served in a very fresh pita.  The flavor is hard to describe, a mixture of sweet from the dried apricots and balsamic dressing and savory from the Moroccan aioli. It was a great light lunch that I would order again.  The flavor combinations convinced me to put this on our dinner list.
